How we choose, rank, and write about the best games on iPhone.
Best Games on iPhone is an independent editorial guide. We exist to answer one question well: what should I actually play on my iPhone right now?
How we test. Our editors install and play games on real, current-generation iPhones. We assess gunplay and controls, frame-rate stability, visual quality, and — crucially — how fairly each game is monetized. A game that's "free" but unplayable without spending will never top our lists.
How we rank. Lists are ordered by editorial judgment, not by who pays us (no one does for placement). We weigh fun, depth, polish, and value. Where a game shines in a specific scenario — offline flights, two-player couch sessions, quick commutes — we say so.
Accuracy. Developer names, App Store categories, and pricing reflect the US App Store at the time of writing and are reviewed regularly. Spotted something out of date? Games and prices change fast — we update continuously.
Independence. We are not affiliated with Apple Inc. All trademarks and app names belong to their respective owners.
